Become An Instructor

Benefits of Teaching at Senior University

Teaching at Senior University provides many benefits not only for students but for instructors as well. Becoming an instructor allows anyone who is passionate about lifelong learning to go beyond attending classes and lectures. In addition, volunteering as an instructor helps us to add more diversity and terms to our class offerings.

Instructors are not compensated but receive a free one-year membership from date of the first class taught and an honorarium. They may also take other Senior University courses without paying a registration fee during their teaching term.

Courses at Senior University

We provide a varied program of classes, lectures, travel activities, and other learning opportunities designed to provide intellectual stimulation, cultural experiences, and personal enjoyment through fall and winter terms of six weeks each, with classes of 60 to 90-minute sessions per week, and a summer term of one week comprising 10 lectures of 60 – 90 minutes each. In addition, we offer free lectures open to the public at various times during the year.
